Thumbprint Bugs

What to do:

  1. Soak the sponge with the tempera paint
  2. Have the children dip their thumbs, etc., onto the sponge. Make prints on paper.
  3. Have them add to the prints by drawing on wings, legs, hands, etc. Let children be creative.
  4. By using fingertip, thumbprint, forefinger, knuckle, palm or side of the hand, they can create bugs, spiders, fish, turtles, caterpillars – anything they want.
