Soil and Sand Comparison

What to do:

Small containers of soil and sand can be used to compare the differences and
similarities of the two.

1. Place sand in one small container and soil in another small container.
2. Ask children how the sand and soil differ.
3. Ask how they are the same.
4. Children can play with the samples, add water, drain, and even paint with them.
