Sand Play

What to do:

  • Use sand, cornmeal, rice, or other pourable substances. Children can play by pouring into different sized containers and comparing how much sand or other substance goes in each container. Empty plastic containers such as yogurt cups, cottage cheese containers, and so on, make good comparison containers.
