Hanger Heads

What to do:

  1. Have children stretch wire clothes hangers into a fairly round face shape.
  2. Cover hangers with pantyhose and tie to secure. This is the child’s “head.”
  3. Encourage children to complete the face by adding fabric scraps, yarn, felt, and so forth. If they want, children can stuff with old nylons for three-dimensional effect.
  4. If you keep the hook on the top, you will be able to hang your heads for display. Leaving the hooks on the bottom will allow the hanger heads to be held and used as masks.
