Fruits and Vegetables
What to do:
- Ask children to cut out pictures of different fruits and vegetables from grocery store ads, magazines, and seed catalogs. Younger children can tear out the pictures.
- Talk about where the item grows: on a vine, under the soil, above the ground, or on a tree.
- Sort items according to size, color, or where they grow.
- Children can glue pictures onto large sheets of paper to make a collage.
