Fruits and Vegetables

What to do:

  1. Ask children to cut out pictures of different fruits and vegetables from grocery store ads, magazines, and seed catalogs. Younger children can tear out the pictures.
  2. Talk about where the item grows: on a vine, under the soil, above the ground, or on a tree.
  3. Sort items according to size, color, or where they grow.
  4. Children can glue pictures onto large sheets of paper to make a collage.
