What to do:
- Observe bees on flowers outside. Talk about how their wings help them fly.
- Guard against children getting too close in case of stinging.
- Create armbands from strips of paper, two per child.
- Cut wings from large sheets of paper. Older children can cut out their wings while younger children will need help.
- Tape wings onto arm bands.
- Children can take turns buzzing from one flower (another child) to another.
- Play music and let children “fly” around the room like bees.
