At the Beach

What to do

1. Play music for children as they draw pictures of the ocean, beach, or fish.
2. Children can dance to music as they imitate types of fish, birds, or ocean waves.
3. As children create beach or ocean pictures, have sand, cornmeal, or salt available for them to sprinkle on to create a bumpy texture. Paint areas with white glue first, so the texture will stick. Or, glue scraps of sandpaper onto areas of the picture for interesting textures.
