Animal Shape Match
What to do:
- Draw silhouettes of a variety of common animals (e.g. turtle, fish, butterfly, chicken, etc.) on construction paper, using various colors.
- Cut out individual shapes.
- Trace their outlines on the tag board.
- Cover tag board and shapes with contact paper.
- Children play by matching the individual shapes with those on the tag board.
- This may be difficult for younger children.
- Variations: For older children, you might make different sizes of the same shape to help teach the concepts of larger-smaller, bigger-biggest.
