Animal Shape Match

What to do:

  1. Draw silhouettes of a variety of common animals (e.g. turtle, fish, butterfly, chicken, etc.) on construction paper, using various colors.
  2. Cut out individual shapes.
  3. Trace their outlines on the tag board.
  4. Cover tag board and shapes with contact paper.
  5. Children play by matching the individual shapes with those on the tag board.
  • This may be difficult for younger children.
  • Variations: For older children, you might make different sizes of the same shape to help teach the concepts of larger-smaller, bigger-biggest.
